The R.AI conference centered around ALLAI’s mission to involve entire society in achieving Responsible AI and was the first in a series of R.AI Conferences to be held throughout Europe.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to have significant advantages for society. As with every disruptive technology, AI also entails risks and complex policy challenges in areas such as safety and monitoring, socio-economic aspects, ethics and privacy, reliability, to name a few.
To fully reap the benefits and opportunities of Al and at the same adequately address the risks and challenges collaboration between all stakeholders is necessary. This is what we call Responsible AI.
In plenary sessions and working groups, with a great number of high level expert speakers and panelists from different parts of society, we topics such as the ethical and legal implications of AI, AI and work, the societal impact of AI, AI in Europe (a.o. the work of the High Level Expert Group on AI) and high impact AI such as facial recognition, were discussed.
